Writing on Substack
My replacement for Posterous
Years ago, there was a beautiful blogging website called Posterous. I loved the layout and how clean it was. I had no intention of getting popular or earn money through writing when I used Posterous. It was purely the pleasure of writing using it’s editor and the way my blog looked after I post the articles was enough to inspire me to continue writing. One fine day, they announced closure of Posterous and I never found a better platform.
I hope Substack will provide the same experience and inspire me to write, not because there’s an option to earn or become the most popular writer on the platform but for the pleasure of using it and for the reader to find it just as attractive as the writer felt while writing on it.
I’m not sure if anyone else misses this platform as much as I do but I hope that is because they found something similar or better. If I will enjoy Substack, I will be sure to come back more often and write more. I am also experimenting with other tools but this one seemed the easiest one, after Odoo. I am here because of Ali Abdaal YouTube video that talked about how everyone should start a newsletter.
